Prop 8 is tempering my Obama buzz
I really thought in my heart of hearts that the right side (aka one that supports equality for all) would prevail on this one.I'm glad they are not letting this go without a fight. And I'll be happy to continue to fight it with them.

Sadly, a lot of extremely wealthy assholes thought otherwise...
Make no mistake, Prop.8 was *bought*. And the California Constitution was most definitely sold-out.
It's far from over, though...just back in the courts. Here's a brilliant (and very optimistic) opinion piece from The Chronicle about just that, written by LaDoris Cordell, an African-American lesbian who also happens to be a retired Superior Court Judge.

As well, I have to say I agree with her ideas about religious fervor making for a lot of "un-swingables" as far as the prop. 8 vote went.
